Elaine and Gareth were married on the 13th October 2017 in a ceremony at St Columba’s Drung, Quigly’s Point, before hosting their reception at Redcastle Hotel.
A fab couple from the outset, Elaine and Gareth live in Dublin and work together, which is how they met.
When I arrived at Elaine’s house for some pre-wedding shots, hair and make-up were already doing their thing, so I set myself to work, capturing some of the finer details. The atmosphere was great, with a shared excitement among everyone for the day ahead.
Elaine definitely bowled guests over with her choice of satin ballgown, while her bridesmaids wore elegant floor length navy dresses. I particularly liked Elaine’s floral crown, with the flower girls donning miniature versions.
After a lovely ceremony, we went back to Elaine’s parents’ garden for photos. For me, a definite highlight of their album is the shots beside a special tree that Elaine planted when she was younger.
What I loved about this couple is that their personalities really came through in the details of their day. Gareth is a sports enthusiast and even brought along golf clubs for a quick round with the groomsmen. He also loves rugby, if you could couldn’t guess from the guys’ moves in a few of the photos. Plus, their tables were named after Leeds United football players.
Before the first dance, Elaine’s sister (and chief bridesmaid) took to the dance floor to treat guests to a showcase of her Irish dancing championship skills, which went down a storm.
Congratulations guys. Thanks for inviting me to me a part of your epic wedding!
