One camera,one lens,one roll of film,one afternoon,two cites. Go!
In October I spent some time in Italy taking in the sights and learning more about the magic of film photography from talented Cab Look Photo foto Lab. I had a free afternoon traveling between Rome and Florence. So what’s a guy to do but wonder the streets with no maps or phone to discover these two great cites.. Armed with a beat up old Pentax K1000 and a roll of Kodak Gold 200 (found in a drawer) I set out on my journey. It was my first time in these two great cities so every street was a new adventure,
I have never shoot street photography and found it a little bit out of my comfort zone, which is a good thing, making me think more creatively. Limited to only 24 frames I had to be very selective of what I shoot. However I did notice I was drawn to dogs which became a bit of a theme 🙈
The look and of film is hard to beat. The fact that it isn’t 100% ‘perfect” gives it a mystical quality that can’t be replicated in digital. Stay tuned as I will be sharing the rest of my film adventure in Italy very soon ⚡️
